Linda Carter Bartels has been with Fort Mitchell since October 2013. Linda has 25 years of experience in local government having served as City Clerk for the Cities of Independence, Ludlow, and Erlanger. She also served as City Administrator for the City of Erlanger. As City Clerk for the City of Fort Mitchell, she manages the Administration staff, and has brought needed changes to human resources, and tax collection procedures.
She obtained certification as a Kentucky Certified Municipal Clerk in 1994. She has been a member of the Kentucky Municipal Clerks, the International Institute of Municipal Clerks, the Northern Kentucky Municipal Clerks Association, Northern Kentucky City and County Management Association and Kentucky Public Human Resources Association. She has held a seat on the Board for the Kentucky Public Human Resource Association and served as their Treasurer. She served three, two-year term on the Kentucky League of Cities Board of Directors. She has served as Director of the Northern Kentucky Municipal Clerks’ Association and the Northern Kentucky City County Managers’ Association. She especially enjoyed her appointment and time spent on the Kenton County Governance Committee
Amy Guenther, CPA

Amy started as the City Treasurer for Fort Mitchell, KY in August of 1999. Her responsibilities include the budget, payroll, investments, banking, financial statements, occupational taxes, audit facilitation, financial analysis and accounting internal control.
Amy Guenther grew up in Louisville, Kentucky and received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Accounting at the University of Kentucky in 1989 and her Certified Public Accountant license in 1993. Amy’s previous work experience includes internal auditor for Fifth Third Bank, Audit Supervisor for Von Lehman and Company, CPAs and finance director for the City of Independence.
Amy resides in Edgewood, Kentucky with her husband Scott and three sons: Alex, Grant and Nathan. Amy served on the finance committee for St. Pius X Church and School for ten years. Amy is the founder and president of the Northern Kentucky Government Finance Officers Association where local government finance officers exchange information and receive training. Amy is also a member of the Kentucky Society of CPA’s, Kentucky Government Finance Officers Association, Kentucky Occupational License Association and the American Institute of CPA’s.
