Arbor Day Tree Giveaway

April 20 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Arbor Day Tree Giveaway
Saturday, April 20, 2024
8:00am – 12:00pm
Fort Mitchell City Building (Parking Lot)
2355 Dixie Highway
Fort Mitchell, KY 41017

The Fort Mitchell Tree Board will offer 21 varieties (1,300 trees) of native trees to choose from via drive-through with the option of walking up to the giveaway.

Make sure to come early if you have certain varieties in mind. While we have a lot of trees, the most popular varieties tend to go quick!

If you are doing drive thru, please make sure to enter through Dixie Highway and exit on Silver Avenue (if you plan to get out of your car, please park in a designated parking spot along the city building).

There are no limits! We want to encourage you to plant as many native trees in our community as you can!

If you need help picking out specific trees, we’ll be there to help!

For more information on how to plant your bare root saplings, visit https://link.edgepilot.com/s/dd185064/n7eO0UAR2UG07KBhycNegA?u=https://www.arborday.org/trees/planting/bare-root.cfm (roots have already been soaked in water).

When researching trees to find the best fit for your property, search the Latin name provided to get your information. Searching by common names will pull up not only the native varieties, but also different cultivars. Names in addition to the Latin name are cultivars and varieties, which may have different attributes.

We want to see your trees! Take photos and be ready to share them with us!
