Amy Guenther, CPA
Amy Guenther started as the City Treasurer for Fort Mitchell in August 1999. Her responsibilities include the budget, payroll, human resources, administration, investments, banking, financial statements, occupational taxes, audit facilitation, financial analysis, and accounting internal control.
Amy grew up in Louisville and received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Accounting at the University of Kentucky in 1989 and her Certified Public Accountant license in 1993. Amy’s previous work experience includes Internal Auditor for Fifth Third Bank, Audit Supervisor for Von Lehman and Company, CPA, and Finance Director for the City of Independence.
Amy resides in Edgewood with her husband, Scott, and three sons: Alex, Grant, and Nathan. She served on the finance committee for St. Pius X Church and School for ten years and is the founder and former president of the Northern Kentucky Government Finance Officers Association where local government finance officers exchange information and receive training. Amy is also a member of the Kentucky Society of CPA’s, Northern Kentucky Government Finance Officers Association, Kentucky Occupational License Association, American Institute of CPA’s, Kentucky Municipal Clerks Association, and the Northern Kentucky Municipal Clerks Association.
