City of Fort Mitchell Independence Day Parade

PARADE REGISTRATION (participants will receive an information email by Monday, June 29, 2026):
Parade: Saturday, July 4, 2026 at 12:30pm
Grand Marshal: Brad Fritz
Theme: Amber “Waves” of Grain
Route: DCCH Center Fairgrounds/Easterseals Redwood (75 Orphanage Road) to Dixie Highway to Beechwood Road to Beechwood Schools (54 Beechwood Road)
Registration Deadline: Friday, June 26, 2026
Participants:
Starting – DCCH Center Fair Grounds/Easterseals Redwood (75/71 Orphanage Road)
- Arrival Time: Between 10:15am – 11:15am (all roads along parade route close at 11:45am)
- Check-In: Follow signs to check-in
- Drop-offs: Drop-off at the designated area
- Lineup: Participants line up in designated staging area in order of arrival (late arrivals go to end of parade)
- Non-Parade Vehicles: Park behind blue barn “Extra Parking” (only participating vehicles park in staging area)
- Parade starts at 12:30pm
Ending – Beechwood Schools (54 Beechwood Road)
(DO NOT STOP AND DROP OFF PASSENGERS ON BEECHWOOD ROAD)
* Passenger Drop-Off
1. Beechwood Schools parking lot: Designated Drop-off Area
2. Note: The Kroger parking lot will NOT be available due to construction at Beechwood
* Vehicles/Floats Only (not dropping off passengers)
1. Exit to Buttermilk Pike: Go straight to Buttermilk Pike
Rules:
- Walkers: Age 12+ (Age 11 and younger must ride in vehicle/float)
- Walkers must keep up with vehicles (NO GAPS)
- Spotters needed for floats/large vehicles/trucks
- Participants please try to limit to 1-2 vehicles
- Please make sure participating vehicles are operable
- Float/Vehicle Height Restriction: 13ft
- Candy permitted, but please throw beyond the curb and not in the street
- No water balloons, squirting devices
- No food deliveries
- Please treat volunteers with respect
Other:
- Portable toilets scattered throughout DCCH Center Fairgrounds
- Bring drinking water
- Play music
- Wear sunscreen
- HAVE FUN!!!
